Sweet Bridesmaids Tea Party
For the past 2 months I had been scouring Pinterest coming up with unique ideas to make a party special. This party had to be *extra* special. This party is when I ask my girls if they want to be the girls that stand beside me while Shawn + I become one family. I already knew I chose the right girls, but now I had to bribe them into being 'The Ones'. And what better way than with a Tea Party in their honor?
I began with my gifts and how I wanted them to be woo'd.
I started with handmade boxes that I decorated with beautiful striped + polka dot black and cream paper from Paper Source. I will admit, it was a challenge to keep the paper on with just glue sticks and to make it look pretty... I resorted to the extreme adhesive spray... and while it worked miracles... it takes forever to get off your skin, + clothes, + hair... or anything it encounters--but the point is those boxes were glorious. Worth it for my girls.
I had extra crinkled paper to line my boxes which just added those level of sophistication I was very pleased with.
Taking some cues from Pinterest + Style Me Pretty I used some of the ideas for my girls' gifts.
Here is the link from SMP that was my inspiration:

The boxes, crinkled paper, + the Freixenet sparkling wine with the gold calligraphy were just so beautiful that I really wanted to emulate the rest of my party based on it!
I got eos lip balm from a four pack from Sam's Club (where I also got my food for my menu). They are so chic that I knew my bridesmaids would LOVE them (and they did)!
I also got these sweet glasses from Etsy, popping the question right on them! I knew it was meant to be! I customized the color and the names just for my girls! They loved them!
I included these wonderful custom lollipops from another amazing Etsy shop. Andrea Caroline, of Sweet Caroline Confect, customized them to my colors (pink + gold) and even the flavor + size! They arrived fresh and just in time for my girls! They are so awesome!
My favorite of the gifts I got my girls were the customized Nail Decals from Paipur Nails and some simple shimmering pink nail polish I picked up from the dollar store nearby. The nail design is our Wedding Symbol (look familiar?).
Now on to the best part: The Menu! Below I have everything I made for my girls! SO YUMMY!
The edible gold wafer crowns came from an awesome Etsy store, Sweet DeJaVu. Perfection.
I also got these incredibly adorable and PERFECT straws which were (funny enough) a huge hit at the party! I got those at this Etsy Shop that was just so great in price + customer service, Ivana's Gifts N Things.
I put them in mason jars that I had covered in gold glitter to match my gold glitter mason jar vase and the gold glitter ribbon I wrapped around my vases that carried my beautiful light pink + dark pink roses, with Beautiful white hydrangeas and baby's breath. I just picked up those flowers from Whole Foods. They were perfect + glorious + totally set this romantic, sweet + elegant Tea Party mood.
Enjoy the rest of the beautiful images my brother was so kind to capture during the party! Oh, and the menu below ❤
